Requirements
To get a Kenyan eVisa, there are a few required documents that you must have! Three of the most basic Kenya visa requirements are as follows:
Valid Passport – You must have a passport valid for at least 6 more months with 2 blank pages for visa stamps .
E-mail Address – Make sure you use your own active email address. This is because your email will be linked electronically to your passport, and you’ll get your approved Kenya visa via email
Means of Payment – As this entire process is streamlined, you need online payment methods to pay the visa fee.
Besides these, you need some supporting documents, depending on your selected visa option. You can visit evisa.go.ke to find out all the necessary required documents for a Kenya visa.
Kenyan entry visas are exclusively issued electronically, with passengers required to obtain their e-visas before departure. Those travelling can apply for single entry and transit visas on the e-visas website ( https://evisa.go.ke/eligibility).
Covid-19 Requirement
All passengers over the age of 12 years are required to provide proof of vaccination for COVID-19 or a negative COVID-19 PCR test conducted not more than 72 hours prior to departure. Vaccination means having received the prescribed doses of the specific vaccine at least 14 days before arrival (not including the day of vaccination).
Passengers over the age of 12 years with no proof of vaccination or a PCR test will be subject to a Rapid Antigen Test upon arrival at their own cost. Any passenger over the age of 12 years who tests positive on that Rapid Antigen Test will be subject to a PCR test at their own further cost and must isolate as per latest Ministry of Health guidance.
Passengers below 12 years of age are exempt from the requirements of a vaccination certificate or PCR test.
Any passengers arriving in Kenya with flu-like symptoms will be required to complete a form. These passengers will also be required to take a COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival at their own cost.
To note for passengers travelling out of the country, pre-departure Rapid Antigen Tests or COVID-19 PCR tests may be considered at the discretion of the airlines.
